Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Hettinger, ND 58639 – Small-town North Dakota with a welcoming community and scenic prairies
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (November 19, 2025 – February 18, 2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery (LDRP) and Med-Surg
- Nursing Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a), every other weekend and holiday required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2260 - $2430
- Employment Type: Travel RN, W2
- Self-Scheduling: Yes, with flexibility and supportive management
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Ability to float to Med-Surg and manage a full patient assignment
- Strong clinical skills in couplet care (mother and baby), labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Excellent teamwork and adaptability in a rural hospital environment
RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care for laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in a 3-bed L&D and 3-bed postpartum unit
- Float to Med-Surg unit (approximately 80% of the time) and manage full patient assignments when L&D is not active
- Provide couplet care, including labor, delivery, and postpartum in the same room
- Administer and titrate medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium according to hospital protocols
- Document patient care using Meditech and paper charting for electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
- Collaborate with OB/GYN, Neonatology, and Anesthesia teams (available within 15 minutes)
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered healthcare environment
- Follow hospital policies, including uniform guidelines (any color/pattern scrubs, closed-toe shoes)
