• Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (Sarah Cannon Building, 3 North Oncology Unit)
• Position: Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530 - $1640
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Dress Code: Scrubs in grey, black, pink, navy blue, or white

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (required for nursing jobs in Tennessee)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology nursing or med-surg nursing
• Preferred: Experience with high dose chemotherapy, stem cell infusions, blood transfusions, and central line maintenance
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Alaris IV pumps is a plus
• Strong teamwork skills, positive attitude, and passion for patient care

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients, including bone marrow transplant recipients
• Administer high dose chemotherapy, stem cell infusions, blood transfusions, and electrolyte replacements
• Maintain and monitor central lines, following CLABSI prevention protocols
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver holistic patient care (average length of stay: 14-21 days)
• Float to other oncology units and main tower med-surg floors as needed
• Accurately document patient care and interventions in Meditech EMR
• Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for immunocompromised patients
