• Location: Altoona, PA 16601 (Pennsylvania nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (7E Nursing Station)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 15, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (flexible scheduling)

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,880 - $2,020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (PA RN license preferred for Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing
• BLS certification (required for all RN jobs)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Monitor cardiac status, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and clinical support staff for optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and recovery processes
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
