PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Nashville, TN 37207 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Start Date: November 24, 2025
• End Date: February 23, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530 - $1640
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or acute care nursing role
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced healthcare environment

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform complex patient assessments and interventions
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR)
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and compliant environment for patients and staff
