Travel RN – Telemetry Job Details

• Location: Ottumwa, Iowa (52501) – Iowa travel nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13-week contract
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (specify your preference when you apply)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1800
• Patient Ratio: 1:6, with CNA and LPN clinical support
• Electronic Health Record: MediTech EHR
• Floating: May be required within a 25-mile radius to support other healthcare facilities

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) RN experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)
• Recent immunization titers (within the last 12 months)
• Clear background checks (Iowa SING BG, criminal and child abuse portions) prior to start
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Travel RN – Telemetry Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on the Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in MediTech Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Mentor and support clinical staff, including CNAs and LPNs
• Float to other hospital units or healthcare facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
• Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal healthcare regulations
