Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama (35401)
- Unit: Heart Failure / Stroke (Med/Surg Telemetry)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/22/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00), every other weekend and holidays as required
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week available)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,720 - $1,840
- Parking: On-site available
- Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs
- EMR: Meditech
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or related specialty (18 months total RN experience considered)
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses)
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS or Red Cross equivalent
- Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to patients with heart failure, stroke, and neuro-cardiac conditions
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data; respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with cardiologists, neurologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and document care accurately in Meditech EMR
- Float to other units/hospitals as required to support patient care needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff
