CVOR Registered Nurse Job Details

• Position: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Weston, FL 33331 (South Florida healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (06:45 - 17:15)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,310
• On-Call: Cardiac call required (minimum 6 per month; up to 10 if short staffed)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of direct CVOR RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Recent scrub experience in the Cardiac OR required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida RN license preferred for Florida nursing jobs; no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start date)
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Experience in training and onboarding students and new staff in a teaching hospital setting
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at submission
• Two recent professional references from direct CVOR leadership (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months)
• Nicotine-free (negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required within 12 months of start)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must pass EKG and Pharm tests during orientation (2 attempts max; study materials provided)

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating nurse roles in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Respond to cardiac call and deliver expert care for cardiac surgery patients
• Assist with advanced cardiac procedures: CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, TEVAR, and more
• Float to other OR cases as needed to support the surgical team
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards in the OR
• Utilize EPIC for accurate clinical charting and documentation
• Support onboarding and training of students and new staff in a teaching hospital environment
• Complete all required onboarding modules and training promptly
