Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Berlin, Vermont (zip 05602) – Vermont nursing jobs
• Facility: Acute Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Unit (51 beds)
• Assignment Length: 32 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 8/2/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250
• Employment Type: Travel RN job
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; 2 out of 4 major holidays required
• Documentation: Epic EMR experience required
• Parking: Free onsite parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required (minimum 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR previous experience at any UVMHN acute care facility)
• Epic EMR proficiency within the past 2 years (required)
• Certifications: Active RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) prior to start
• Telemetry certification preferred
• Peripheral IV placement skills preferred
• Reliable personal transportation required (no public transportation available)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for adults with diagnoses including post-op ortho, urology, GI, COPD, CHF, diabetes, dementia, and end-of-life needs
• Apply, interpret, and respond to telemetry monitoring
• Perform NG tube insertion, peripheral IV insertion, and telemetry strip interpretation
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, LNAs, and ancillary staff for seamless clinical support
• Document care and interventions accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to similar units as needed (infrequent)
• Participate in team-based care and contribute to a positive healthcare work environment
• Adhere to professional dress code and facility protocols
