Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nurse
• Location: Leonardtown, Maryland 20650
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2210 - $2370
• Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00 – 17:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: Rotational weekends (1-2 weekend shifts per contract)
• Scrubs: Provided
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Unit Details: 6 operating rooms, daily census of 25

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state (required for Maryland nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with hospital charting systems
• Two supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• First-time travel nurses accepted with required specialty experience

OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, including abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, joint replacement, appendectomy, C-sections, cataract extraction, colon resection, hernia repair, robotic-assisted surgeries, and more
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care across all age groups
• Participate in rotational weekend call as scheduled
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Complete required orientation and training modules prior to and during assignment
