Homecare RN Job Details
- Location: Richmond, Virginia (Zip: 23219) – Experience the vibrant culture, historic charm, and scenic riverfront of downtown Richmond.
- Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:00pm and 11:00am–11:00pm), 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1980–$2030
- Unit: Hospital at Home – Adult Medical-Surgical Level Patients
- Openings: 2 Registered Nurse positions
- Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS rate
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Virginia or compact state RN license required at time of submission
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 3 years of critical care, acute care, or medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Preferred: Home health, telephone triage, and trauma level I RN experience
- Ability to float within RN scope as needed
- Two professional nursing references required
Homecare RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults at an acute inpatient level in their homes
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care; document patient progress using EPIC
- Coordinate services and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Utilize remote clinical care coordination and telehealth technology
- Conduct admission assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
- Respond promptly to significant changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Maintain infection control precautions and uphold high safety standards
- Participate in orientation modules and ensure compliance with facility policies
