Orthopedic RN Job Details
- Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky (zip 42104) – Kentucky nursing jobs
- Facility Setting: Orthopedic & Med Surg Units (30 Ortho beds, 37 Med Surg beds)
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
- Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00AM – 7:00PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1440 - $1550
- Patient Ratio: Typically 6:1
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Unit Staffing: PCTs, SNEs, and Unit Secretaries available during day shift
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Kentucky or compact state)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience (Orthopedic RN or Med Surg RN experience preferred)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to manage a 6:1 patient load and deliver patient-centered care
- Willingness to float to other inpatient units as needed
- Compliance with hospital dress code (scrub top/bottoms, no denim/camo, no shoes with holes)
Orthopedic RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and med surg patients
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Utilize Meditech for accurate documentation
- Assist with bedside procedures and clinical support as needed
- Promote positive patient experience and uphold hospital standards
- Float to other units (CCU, ED) for patient care or task support as required
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for patients and staff
