Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Columbia, SC 29204 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Cath Lab Unit
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
- Shifts: 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980 - $2120
- On-Call: One weekend (Fri-Sun) per month & one weekday call shift per week
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrubs: Hospital-issued
- Parking: Free parking pass for downtown lots and garages
Cath Lab RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Registered Nurse experience
- EP/Cath Lab experience required
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (must be in hand prior to start)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Radiation badge (provided by agency)
- Experience in community hospital or acute care settings
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Cath Lab Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Cath Lab for adult and geriatric patients
- Assist with peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor and manage procedural sedation for cardiac procedures
- Operate specialized equipment: Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
- Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response)
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic electronic health record system
