Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Columbia, SC 29204 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)
Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Cath Lab Unit
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
Shifts: 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980 - $2120
On-Call: One weekend (Fri-Sun) per month & one weekday call shift per week
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Charting System: Epic
Scrubs: Hospital-issued
Parking: Free parking pass for downtown lots and garages

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Registered Nurse experience
EP/Cath Lab experience required
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (must be in hand prior to start)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Radiation badge (provided by agency)
Experience in community hospital or acute care settings
First-time travel nurses welcome
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Cath Lab Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Cath Lab for adult and geriatric patients
Assist with peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures
Monitor and manage procedural sedation for cardiac procedures
Operate specialized equipment: Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response)
Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic electronic health record system
