Atlanta Oncology RN Job Details

• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Georgia nursing jobs)
• Facility: Outpatient Infusion Center – Oncology
• Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 4, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:45am – 7:00pm), 3 shifts/week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work 1 major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology RN and Bone Marrow Transplant nursing experience
• BLS certification (required)
• Chemo Certification (required for oncology nursing jobs)
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
• Strong IV skills and ability to deliver clinical support to a diverse patient population
• Must reside at least 50 miles outside of Atlanta, GA (travel nurse requirement)

Oncology Nurse Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and intravenous infusion therapies to oncology patients in an outpatient setting
• Monitor patient responses and manage side effects of cancer treatments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Educate patients and families on oncology treatment plans and symptom management
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Participate in holiday coverage as required by the contract
