Atlanta Oncology RN Job Details
- Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Georgia nursing jobs)
- Facility: Outpatient Infusion Center – Oncology
- Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 4, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:45am – 7:00pm), 3 shifts/week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work 1 major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology RN and Bone Marrow Transplant nursing experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Chemo Certification (required for oncology nursing jobs)
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
- Strong IV skills and ability to deliver clinical support to a diverse patient population
- Must reside at least 50 miles outside of Atlanta, GA (travel nurse requirement)
Oncology Nurse Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and intravenous infusion therapies to oncology patients in an outpatient setting
- Monitor patient responses and manage side effects of cancer treatments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Educate patients and families on oncology treatment plans and symptom management
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
- Participate in holiday coverage as required by the contract
