Oncology RN Job Details
- Location: Greenville, NC 27834 – Explore eastern North Carolina nursing jobs with access to parks, dining, and arts.
- Unit: Cancer Center Surgical Oncology (PCU)
- Contract Type: Travel Nursing
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/29/2025 – End: 3/31/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Bed Count: 32-bed flex unit (intermediate and general)
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4 RN-to-patient
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (PCU or Oncology nursing preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact RN licenses accepted)
- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Willingness to float to units of equal or lesser care
- Ability to work 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- All requested time off must be approved prior to confirmation
- Travel nurses must reside outside an 80-mile radius of Greenville, NC
Oncology RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology and surgical patients in a clinical setting
- Care for patients across specialties: ENT, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
- Accurately read and interpret cardiac strips
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to other nursing units as needed to support clinical care
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
