Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hour contracts available
Employment Type: W2
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Virginia RN License or Compact RN License required
Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown, IMCU, or acute care nursing experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Charge nurse experience preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a teaching hospital and support students and new hires
Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA units
Monitor and assess cardiac stepdown patients, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Mentor and support students and new hires in a teaching hospital environment
Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
Weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs
