OR RN Job Details – Salem, Oregon
- Location: Salem, Oregon (97301) – Pacific Northwest healthcare jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
- Start Date: December 15, 2025
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour variable (07:00-17:30, 09:00-19:30, 11:00-21:30)
- Call: 5-6 call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule; weekday night call shifts (8 hours, 23:00-07:00); weekend scheduled and call shifts (10/12 hours)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2100
- Setting: Level II Trauma Center, General Operating Room
- Charting System: Epic (Epic charting experience required)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oregon RN license can be pending at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with a variety of surgical procedures: Ortho/Spine, Neuro, CV/Vascular, Da Vinci Robotics, General, Urology, GYN, Dental, ENT, Plastics, Eyes, and Trauma
- Ability to float to affiliate hospitals as needed
- First-time travel nurses welcome!
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to surgical patients in a busy OR setting
- Circulate and/or scrub for diverse surgical cases including Ortho/Spine, Neuro, Cardiovascular, Robotics, General Surgery, and more
- Operate advanced surgical technology such as the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Hana Table
- Maintain compliance with infection control, fire safety, laser safety, and universal protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, interpretation services, and rapid response teams
- Participate in scheduled shifts, call rotations, and float assignments as required
- Accurately document patient care using Epic
