ER RN Travel Job Details

• Location: Wichita Falls, TX 76301 (Texas nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Shift: Mid-shift, 12-hour shifts (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM), block scheduling
• Hours: Alternating 36/48 hour weeks (84 hours biweekly, 72 hour guarantee)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,700 - $1,820
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 (Days/Nights/Weekends)
• Unit: Emergency Department / Clinical Decision Unit (ED/CDU)
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting System: Epic (Epic experience preferred)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience in a high-volume or trauma facility (3 years preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand before start)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and initiate appropriate interventions for a wide range of medical emergencies
• Manage complex patient conditions, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, blood products, and advanced airway management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
