ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990–$2,130 per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (electronic medical records) required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Ability to float between multiple critical care units: neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, ED, PACU
• Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and adaptability

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in various intensive care and critical care units
• Float between neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate clinical documentation and patient management
• Respond promptly to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
