Med/Surg RN Job Details – Windsor, VT

• Location: Windsor, Vermont (zip code 05089) – Vermont nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Rehabilitation Med/Surg Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/16/2026 – End: 5/18/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• EMR System: Cerner
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4/5
• Average Daily Census: 22 patients

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Vermont RN license required
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Rehabilitation nursing experience
• At least 3 months of travel nursing experience
• Charge RN experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
• BSN preferred
• Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available)
• Not eligible for local travelers (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)
• Ability to float between Acute Rehab and Med/Surg units
• Profile must include work history, current skills checklist, and at least one supervisory reference from the past two years
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off during assignment (requests must be submitted at upload)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Rehab Med/Surg unit
• Serve as backup Charge Nurse as needed
• Educate patients and families on care plans and rehabilitation processes
• Collaborate with ancillary staff and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing team members
• Adapt to floating between Acute Rehab and Med/Surg units as required
