CVOR RN Job Details
- Location: Burlington, Vermont (05401) – Vermont healthcare jobs
- Facility: Large academic teaching hospital
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: December 4, 2025
- End Date: January 15, 2026
- Duration: 6-week travel nursing contract
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (0645-1915), with 1–2 weekday 12-hour calls (0900-0715), plus 1 full weekend of call every 5 weeks
- Holiday Coverage: Must work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,520 – $2,700
- Transportation: Reliable transportation required (public transportation not accessible; all-season or snow tires recommended November–April)
CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) RN experience
- Experience in large, academic, teaching hospital setting
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification (required)
- CNOR certification (preferred)
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required and nonnegotiable)
- General OR experience; ability to float to other OR suites (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc.)
- Flexible schedule to meet unit and patient care needs
- Must explain any employment gaps over 90 days
- Complete work history required (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
- At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required
CVOR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Circulate in various OR suites as needed (no scrubbing required if floated)
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekday and weekend coverage
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, academic healthcare environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support complex surgical procedures
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and patient management
- Maintain flexibility to accommodate unit and patient needs
