PCU Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Greenville, NC (27834) – North Carolina healthcare jobs
- Facility: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – TSIU
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: December 7, 2025
- End Date: April 26, 2026
- Duration: 20 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (required for North Carolina nursing jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or intermediate care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac strips
- Must pass EKG and pharmacy exams during compliance process (pre-start)
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting system preferred
- Relias competency exams required upon booking (2 attempts allowed)
- Strong IV start and lab draw skills
PCU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with acute stroke, post-neurosurgical, seizure management, multiple sclerosis, and Guillain-Barre syndrome
- Perform NIHSS assessments, assist with lumbar punctures, manage arterial and central lines, provide tracheotomy care, and manage lumbar drains
- Administer intravenous drips (cardiac, insulin, heparin) and conduct cardiac monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
- Follow all compliance and safety protocols in accordance with healthcare regulations
- Submit all requested time off prior to assignment confirmation
