PCU RN Job Details – Rhode Island Travel Nursing
- Location: Woonsocket, RI 02895 – Northern Rhode Island, close to Providence and Boston
- Assignment Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: December 29, 2025
- Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry & Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Float position
- Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel RN contract
- Weekend Requirement: Every other Friday and Saturday night
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Rhode Island or compact state eligible
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience, including post-cardiac cath and cardiac patient care
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Proficient with EPIC EMR system
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Required documentation: Cover Sheet, Resume, Skills Checklist, 2 References, License/Certification verification, and recent Nursys Report (within 30 days)
PCU RN Responsibilities
- Float between Med/Surg Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed
- Deliver specialized care to cardiac patients, including those post-cardiac catheterization
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry readings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC EMR
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
- Participate in ongoing nursing education and training
