Texas Nursing Job Details

• Location: Amarillo, Texas 79106
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/29/2025 – End: 3/30/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2070
• Scrubs: Provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Ability to circulate and scrub in surgical cases
• Fluency in English for effective communication
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (traveler radius rule)
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Operating Room, circulating and scrubbing for diverse surgical procedures
• Manage surgical cases including General, Orthopedic, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, Transplant, and Gynecology; preferred experience in Vascular, Thoracic, Bariatric, and ENT surgeries
• Operate clinical healthcare equipment such as Pyxis and Epic EMR
• Participate in rotating call days as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more
• Provide nursing care for all age groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare facility
