Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Sanford, North Carolina (Zip: 27330) – Central NC healthcare jobs
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 12/28/2025 – End: 3/29/2026)
- Setting: Emergency Department (21 beds: 12 telemetry, 3 behavioral health, 5 fast track rooms)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 (every other weekend and some holidays required)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570–$1680
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (W2)
- Electronic Health Record: Cerner
- Dress Code: Scrubs (any color; no open-toed footwear, spandex pants, or sweatshirts)
- Orientation: Weekly, on Mondays
ER RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state – NC nursing license accepted
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and de-escalation training (HWC, CPI, or MAB)
- Clinical skills: emergency nursing, trauma care, resuscitation, IV/IV drips, oxygen therapy, blood product administration, basic telemetry/EKG monitoring
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Perform assessments, triage, and interventions for acute and emergent conditions (COPD, DKA, sepsis, cardiac and neurological emergencies, stroke)
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and oxygen therapy
- Monitor and interpret telemetry/EKG readings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Document care and interventions accurately in Cerner EHR
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient emergency department environment
- Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education
