Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location: Morristown, New Jersey (07960) – New Jersey nursing jobs
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: Labor & Delivery (Delivery Room)
Start Date: January 5, 2026
End Date: April 4, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,310 – $2,470

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent travel nursing experience in Labor & Delivery or high-acuity hospital settings
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for patients from pediatric to geriatric stages
Deliver skilled, compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk pregnancies
Demonstrate clinical proficiency with emergency equipment and obstetric procedures
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress, and outcomes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, care plans, and post-discharge instructions
Uphold patient safety standards, including universal protocols and proper patient identification
Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and commitment to ongoing clinical development
Support pre-admission testing and perioperative assessments as needed
