ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Front Royal, Virginia 22630
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Critical Care Step Down Unit (ICU)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: 2 full weekends (Friday & Saturday) and 1 additional weekend night every 6 weeks
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• On-Call: 4-hour call shifts; must be able to arrive within 1 hour if called in
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 – $1800

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (required for Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS/PEARS, NIHSS
• Preferred experience in Critical Care, Step Down, or Progressive Care nursing
• Ability to float to Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) as needed

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to adults in the ICU and Critical Care Step Down Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond to emergencies and deliver advanced life support as needed
• Float to other hospital units, including Medical-Surgical, to support clinical needs
