Home Health RN Job Details

• Job Title: Travel Homecare Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Largo, Florida 33773
• Contract Start Date: January 12, 2026
• Contract End Date: June 1, 2026
• Contract Length: 20 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shifts: 8-hour day shifts (self-scheduling: Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, Mon–Fri 9am–6pm, Thurs–Mon, Fri–Tues)
• Weekend Requirement: Alternating weekends
• Healthcare Setting: Home Health (adults and geriatrics)
• Patient Visits: 6–8 skilled home visits per day
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1300–$1390

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or compact state nursing license (required)
• At least 1 year of recent skilled home health nursing experience (private duty not accepted)
• OASIS documentation experience and training
• Proficient in infusion therapy, IV, and phlebotomy skills
• Advanced wound care (wound vac, compression dressing, staple/suture removal)
• Experience with high-risk diagnoses: heart failure, COPD, MI, pneumonia, stroke
• BCLS certification
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for patient visits
• COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)
• Recent patient care experience within the last 3 months
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (per 100-mile radius rule)
• Solid color scrubs required

Homecare RN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled home health nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Largo, FL area
• Perform cardiopulmonary assessments, wound care, and post-operative nursing care
• Manage high-risk and general medical diagnoses for home health patients
• Administer IV therapy, PICC line/midline care, and SQ port access/deaccess
• Perform SQ/IM injections, lab draws, and venipuncture
• Change and care for foley catheters; remove staples/sutures
• Utilize glucometer and pro-time machine for patient monitoring
• Document clinical assessments and nursing care using laptop and portable printer
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team (Physical Therapy, Social Services, Pharmacy, Interpretation Services)
• Float to affiliate healthcare locations as needed
