Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia 25401
• Unit: 4 North – Ortho/Neuro – Med/Surg (21 beds: 7 private, 7 semi-private rooms)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg
• Start Date: December 6, 2025
• End Date: March 7, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00am – 7:30pm), including weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1820 - $1950
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Navy blue (with navy or white jacket/undershirt)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (any state; driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from facility)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Basic arrhythmia recognition skills
• Ability to float to other Med/Surg units as needed (excluding ED and Behavioral Health)
• Strong attendance record and professional references

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to orthopedic and neurological patients, including post-surgical, seizure, and trauma cases
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 in a fast-paced Med/Surg hospital setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including hospitalists, charge nurses, and clinical support staff
• Administer medications and IV therapies (Heparin, Protonix drips)
• Monitor patients on telemetry (remote monitoring)
• Utilize respiratory support equipment (Bipap, Cpap, High Flow)
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and patient education
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and communication, adhering to hospital policies
