Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Watertown, NY 13601 (Northern New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

• End Date: April 1, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:00am – 3:30pm); includes weekends, holidays, and on-call (30-minute response time)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2450 - $2510

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active New York State RN license or eligibility (New York nursing jobs)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical or operating room nursing experience required
• Successful completion and passing grade on final exam required for employment as an OR RN
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias
• Knowledge of clinical equipment and aseptic techniques in an OR/ASU setting
• Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Operating Room (OR) setting
• Assess and address patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Identify and resolve safety issues for patients and staff, including safe patient handling
• Function effectively in high-stress situations and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
• Prioritize and delegate tasks; assume charge nurse duties as needed
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Operate and maintain clinical equipment and instrumentation for a safe, aseptic environment
