Home Health RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract

• Contract Duration: 20 weeks
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (varied: Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Mon-Fri 9a-6p, Thurs-Mon, or Fri-Tues; alternating weekends)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1300 - $1390
• Openings: 1
• Patient Visits: 6-8 per day

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or compact state (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent skilled home health RN experience (private duty nursing not accepted)
• OASIS home health documentation experience required
• Current BCLS certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home health visits in Sarasota
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
• Flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)
• Recent direct patient care experience within the last 3 months
• Must reside at least 100 miles from Sarasota, FL (per facility policy)
• Cerner EMR/charting experience preferred
• Solid color scrubs required

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in their homes across Sarasota, Florida
• Perform cardiopulmonary assessments, wound care (including wound vac and compression dressing), and IV therapy
• Manage high-risk diagnoses: heart failure, COPD, MI, pneumonia, stroke, and post-op care
• Conduct foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine usage
• Administer SQ/IM injections, perform lab draws and venipuncture, manage PICC/midline care
• Document patient care using laptop, MiFi, and portable printer; utilize facility forms and scheduling systems
• Self-schedule visits and hours based on patient and office needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team (physical therapy, pharmacy, social services)
• May float to affiliate hospitals in the Sarasota, FL area as needed
