Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Dallas, TX 75230 (North Dallas – premier healthcare and lifestyle destination)
- Unit: 610 Diabetic Endocrine 6 South (23-bed medical surgical unit)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/9/2025 – End: 3/10/2026)
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1260 - $1350
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
- Electronic Medical Record: Meditech EMR
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (required for Texas nursing jobs)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent medical surgical nursing experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to float to other acute care areas (medical surgical, general surgery, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, ortho) as needed
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to medical surgical patients on a busy 23-bed unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe patient ratio of 1:5 for effective nursing care
- Perform general med/surg nursing practices and clinical procedures
- Float to other acute care units as needed to support hospital operations and clinical staffing
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code requirements
