Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Portland, Maine (04102) – Maine nursing jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
- Start Date: November 30, 2025
- End Date: February 28, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2050-$2200
- Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (24 beds)
- Patient Ratios: Day shift goal 1:4 (max 1:5)
- EMR: EPIC
- Dress Code: Scrubs (no specific color required)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Maine or compact state
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
- Inpatient acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
- Completion of required education modules: Stroke, SI/Restraints, telemetry, blood glucose
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and positive attitude
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings
- Administer medications and manage IVs using PLUM and Stryker equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
- Float to other nursing units as required by hospital needs
- Maintain compliance with hospital appearance and safety policies
