Job Title: Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Plano, Texas 75075
Healthcare Setting: Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Start Date: January 5, 2026
End Date: April 6, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36
Open RN Positions: 5
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,360 - $1,460

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
At least 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or intermediate care nursing jobs
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and healthcare communication skills

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; respond promptly to changes in status
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing health management
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in compliance with hospital policies
