Travel RN Job Details – Cardiac Telemetry

• Location: Bel Air, MD 21014 (Maryland healthcare jobs)
• Unit: 3W Cardiac Telemetry
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1790–$1920
• Patient Population: Adults with cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
• Orientation: 48 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact State (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry RN experience (telemetry nursing jobs preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification
• Experience with electronic charting systems (clinical documentation)
• Comfortable managing a patient ratio of 5-6
• Willingness to float within the hospital as needed
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two satisfactory professional references from recent employers (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN acceptable)
• CPI certification may be required (The Calm Every Storm online version accepted)
• Local candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage cardiac drips (non-titratable) and medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix
• Perform central and peripheral line care and management
• Utilize remote telemetry monitoring systems (Hicuity System)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Participate in rapid response/code teams as needed
• Float to other nursing units within scope of experience as required
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the facility's electronic charting system
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
