PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Manchester, NH 03102 (New Hampshire healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• On-Call: No call required
• Patient Ratio: 3-4:1
• EMR System: Sunrise
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910

PCU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in NH or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and chest tube management
• Strong organizational and adaptability skills
• Experience with cardiac drips (dobutamine, dopamine, Levo) and external pacemakers preferred

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardio-thoracic, vascular surgical, and progressive care patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage chest tubes, and respond promptly to patient needs
• Administer cardiac drips and manage external pacemakers as required
• Assist with advanced procedures such as pericardialcentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge RNs, LNAs, and sitters
• Float to other progressive care and telemetry units as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the Sunrise EMR system
