ER RN Travel Job Details – Urbana, IL
- Location: Urbana, Illinois 61801
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
- Department: Emergency Department (ED)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/21/2026)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: Day MIDS (12:00PM – 12:00AM), with a required 2-week nights rotation (3x12 hour shifts)
- Call Requirement: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts, onsite within 1 hour)
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2070 - $2120
Emergency Room RN Qualifications
- Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum three (3) years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
Key Responsibilities for ER Registered Nurse
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with healthcare providers, patients, and families
- Implement and adjust nursing interventions based on patient status and clinical protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care and patient interactions
- Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety standards and promptly reporting hazards
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families to foster a healing environment
- Provide constructive feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development and continuous learning
- Fulfill all departmental competencies and maintain up-to-date clinical skills
