Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Winchester, VA 22601 (Shenandoah Valley healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (option to extend)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday
• Unit: Float Pool (Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Cardiac units)
• EMR: EPIC
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020

RN Qualifications and Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience, including Cardiac care
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), NIHSS
• Proficient with EPIC EMR
• Ability to float to multiple hospital units as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality acute care to patients in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Cardiac units
• Float to various hospital units to provide clinical support as a travel RN
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices in nursing care
