Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Newton, New Jersey 07860 (Sussex County)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 4, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,910 - $3,120
• Shift: 4 day / 9.5 hour shift - 7AM-5PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• STEMI On-Call: Yes (STEMI response required)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – Required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience preferred

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric through geriatric populations in the Cath Lab
• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in direct patient care, cardiac procedures, and emergency response
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, procedures, and progress
• Foster a professional, courteous, and patient-centered healthcare environment
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols
• Utilize safe patient transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Individualize patient care based on procedure type and anesthesia requirements
• Educate patients and families about cardiac procedures and post-operative care
• Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate physician orders for appropriateness
• Participate in STEMI on-call rotation as part of the Cath Lab nursing team
