PACU RN Job Details

• Location: Tucson, Arizona 85748
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (10/27/2025 – 1/26/2026)
• Shift: 4x10 hour days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: 10-12 days of call in a 6-week period
• Floating: May be required to float to other units as needed
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1510 - $1620

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to float to other nursing units as needed

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Apply the nursing process in compliance with the Arizona Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing nursing education and training
• Delegate and supervise patient care tasks based on staff qualifications and experience
• Demonstrate leadership and prioritize patient care effectively in a fast-paced PACU environment
