Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Portland, Oregon 97227
• Healthcare Setting: Children's Hospital – Labor & Delivery Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/17/2025, End: 3/18/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2340 - $2510 per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Free Parking available in any unrestricted space

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license or proof of application/fingerprints (required for Oregon nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Advanced, Advanced Fetal Monitoring or Relias Fetal Monitoring
• EPIC charting experience required (training provided if needed)
• Ability to float within the hospital and across the healthcare system as needed
• Weekend and holiday shifts required as needed
• Must complete assigned education modules within one week of assignment
• Locals not accepted (must reside more than 50 miles from any Legacy facility)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to high and low risk obstetrical patients, including antepartum, labor, and postpartum care
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections (circulate and scrub), and high-risk deliveries
• Perform and assist with procedures such as amnioinfusion, amniocentesis, sterile speculum exams, and fetal monitoring (EFM, IUPC)
• Monitor and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Conduct triage of obstetrical patients and newborn/postpartum assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, respiratory, radiology, and social services
• Float between labor and postpartum units as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding mandatory education, floating, and low census cancellation
