Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1500
• Assignment Length: 12 weeks (January 12, 2026 – April 6, 2026)
• Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Unit (Unit 60070, Med Surg 7)
• Location: On-site in Newnan, GA
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (no first-time travelers)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to manage patient ratio of 1:6
• Clinical skills: isolation precautions, MS/Tele, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, telemetry, rapid response/code team participation, wound care/wound vac
• Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation requirements
• Two supervisory references (manager or above) highly preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a busy medical-surgical unit
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform patient assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to other nursing units within the facility as needed
• Participate in rapid response and code teams
• Maintain strict infection control and isolation protocols
• Work every other weekend and major holidays as required by assignment schedule
