Med/Surg RN Job Details

Location: Boise, Idaho (83712) – Idaho nursing jobs
Setting: Acute Care – Clinical Support Unit (Medical Surgical)
Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
Start Date: January 12, 2026
End Date: April 13, 2026
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekends as needed, float to other units as required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
Charting System: EpicCare Inpatient EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Idaho or compact state
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Ability to float to other clinical units as needed
Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical Surgical unit
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EpicCare EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
Float to other units within the healthcare facility as required
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
