Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Location: Warrensville Heights, Ohio 44122 (Greater Cleveland area)
• Unit: Medical Surgical Telemetry (6Med)
• Start Date: January 9, 2026
• End Date: April 10, 2026
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 16 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license required at time of application
• Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday during the contract

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies
