• Facility Setting: Pediatric Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 11, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour PM shifts; every other weekend required
• On Call: None
• Holidays: 1 required if onboarding before Christmas
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2200–$2360

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state – required for all ER RN jobs
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department nursing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification – required for Pediatric ER roles
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred)

ER RN Responsibilities – Pediatric Emergency Care

• Conduct thorough, systematic, and accurate patient assessments for pediatric and geriatric populations in the emergency department
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care using emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare guidelines and HIPAA regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional development
• Enhance patient and family satisfaction by providing compassionate, collaborative care
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including patient identification and safe transfer protocols
• Individualize patient care for surgical and emergency procedures, including pre- and post-operative assessment and education
• Support the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and responding to changes in patient condition
• Assist with Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and ensure timely completion of all required patient testing
