ER RN Job Details
- Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico healthcare jobs)
- Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital, Children's Hospital
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
- Start Date: March 9, 2026
- End Date: June 8, 2026
- Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30); 36 or 48 hours/week available
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 shifts during assignment)
- Weekend Coverage: Scheduled as needed (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights and Saturday, Sunday days)
- Charting System: Cerner EMR
- Scrub Color: Black
- Parking: Free onsite
ER Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Mexico or compact state; NM license may be pending at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (Level I Trauma experience highly preferred; Level II required)
- Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers with strong Level I Trauma background considered
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission), NIHSS (can be pending at compliance)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
- No local candidates within 75 miles of facility
- Ability to float to Adult Progressive Care Units (PCUs), ED Holding, and Trauma as needed
- Strong clinical skills in trauma/resuscitation, IV medication administration, and emergency triage
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department
- Perform triage, assessment, and ongoing monitoring of patients with acute and critical conditions
- Administer medications (including IV), manage central and arterial lines, and provide trauma/resuscitation care
- Document and communicate clinical findings effectively using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to Adult PCUs and ED Holding areas as required
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including bar code medication scanning and safety protocols
