Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Jackson, Mississippi (zip 39216)
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – MedSurg Burn Center
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
Charting System: Epic EMR
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,570 - $1,680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent MedSurg or Telemetry nursing experience (Burn unit experience preferred but not required)
Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
Proficiency with Epic EMR charting
Ability to complete fingerprinting (remote or in-person at Jackson or Grenada campus)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemption accepted with documentation)
Previous travel nurse experience is a plus

Burn Unit RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to burn patients in an acute MedSurg environment
Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Epic EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Maintain a safe and supportive clinical setting for patients and staff
Manage patient ratios of 1:3 (occasionally 1:4)
Participate in holiday coverage as needed with flexible scheduling
Comply with hospital policies, including vaccination and fingerprinting requirements
