Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Show Low, Arizona 85901 – Arizona nursing jobs
• Facility Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:00am – 6:00pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Call Requirement: One shift per 4-week schedule
• Unit Details: 7 L&D beds, 2 triage beds, 10 postpartum beds; 1-3 births per day

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license – Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NIHSS, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)
• Proficient in fetal monitoring and responding to fetal distress
• Experience assisting with C-sections and caring for high-risk OB patients
• Ability to manage OB emergencies independently until provider arrives
• Willingness to float to MedSurg or Emergency Department (ED) as needed

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients, including high-risk obstetric cases
• Monitor fetal well-being and respond to changes in patient status
• Assist with C-sections and other obstetric procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including respiratory therapists, OB scrub techs, and patient care technicians
• Float to other units such as MedSurg or ED based on hospital needs
• Accurately document patient care using Allscripts - Sunrise charting system
• Participate in call rotation and cover scheduled weekend shifts
• Provide patient-centered care in a supportive, team-oriented environment
