PCU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio (ZIP 43210) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 8 BSH Neuro Surgery (PCU)
• Patient Ratios: 1:3-4
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Float Requirement: May float to other units within the organization
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1810 - $1940

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med-Surg RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological conditions (stroke, epilepsy, Guillain-Barre, MS, myasthenia gravis, traumatic brain injury)
• Manage and monitor patients with lumbar drains and EVDs
• Administer blood products, cardiac drips, and insulin drips according to protocols
• Perform neuro stepdown and pre/post neurosurgery care
• Document and chart using EPIC EHR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Float to other units within the OSU healthcare organization as needed
• Participate in rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays
