CVICU RN Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare job)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 3/25/2026)
• Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 - $2250
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR: Epic

CVICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or willingness to obtain
• 2-3 years of recent CVICU nursing experience required
• Experience working in a trauma level one facility required
• Expertise in caring for immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in an ICU setting
• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, a-lines, spinal drains, ECG interpretation, temporary pacemakers, and titration of vasoactive/inotropic drips
• Epic EMR experience required
• Completion of a competency test within 24 hours of submission

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the CVICU
• Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic parameters and critical care equipment
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, a-lines, and other ICU technology
• Interpret ECGs and manage temporary pacemakers
• Titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips for optimal patient outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
