ER RN Job Details – Marshalltown, IA

• Location: Marshalltown, Iowa 50158 – Experience the best of central Iowa with small-town charm, revitalized downtown, and welcoming community amenities.
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Unit: Emergency Services / Emergency Department
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: None
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, NIHSS, MOAB or CPI (MOAB/CPI can be obtained during onboarding)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Submission of work history/resume, recent skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, and required certifications
• At least one supervisory reference from the past 2 years
• Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical setting
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols
• Accurately document patient care in the EPIC EMR system
• Participate in department meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing nursing education
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
